2. What data we collect

Customers: name, email, phone number, addresses, order details (job, time, description, additional details and photos you send), payment details and communication with us. Your card details are processed by Stripe, and we never see the card number.

Helpers and helper applicants: name, email, phone number, postcode, application details, introduction, service area, completed jobs and earnings.

Sign-in: if you sign in with a Google account, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Technical data: sign-in session data and service log data (for example IP address and timestamp).

3. Why we process data

  • Receiving orders, arranging and carrying out the work, and payments (contract).
  • Handling helper applications and passing jobs to helpers (contract and pre-contractual steps).
  • Accounting and taxation (legal obligation).
  • Security of the service and preventing misuse (legitimate interest).

4. Who we share data with

The helper who takes the order sees the information needed to do the work, such as your name, the address, the job description and photos. We also use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare: server, database and photo storage
  • Stripe: card payments
  • Google: Google sign-in, if you choose it
  • Resend: email notifications
  • Digitransit and Photon (Komoot): address search. The address search you type is sent to them.

Some of the service providers operate in the United States. Data transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.

5. How long we keep data

We keep account data for as long as your account is in use. Order and payment data are kept for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act, that is 6 years from the end of the financial year.

6. Cookies

We only use necessary cookies: ma_session keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and lang remembers your chosen language (Finnish or English) for a year. On the payment page, Stripe may use its own necessary cookies for payment security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, to restrict or object to processing and to receive your data in a portable format. Send your request to asiakaspalvelu@mukanaarjessa.fi. If you think your data is processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
