Terms of service

This is an English translation for convenience. If the Finnish and English versions differ, the Finnish version (Palveluehdot) applies.

These terms apply when you order home help through the Mukana Arjessa online service. You accept the terms when you confirm an order.

2. The service

We provide home help in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen: furniture assembly, moving help, carrying help, cleaning, yard work, organising and errands. The work is done by independent helpers working through Mukana Arjessa. The service contract is made between you and Mukana Arjessa, and we are responsible for arranging the work you order.

3. Ordering

Orders are made in the online service and require a user account. In the order you tell us the job, the address, the time and the estimated duration. One order can be booked for up to 6 hours. Same-day orders can be made for 3 hours ahead at the earliest. The contract is made when you confirm the order and a hold is placed on your card. You can see the order details in your account.

4. Prices

  • Work costs 44 € per hour for all services.
  • The minimum charge is 1 hour. After that we charge in started 15-minute periods (11 € / 15 min).
  • A fixed 5.90 € travel fee is added to each visit.
  • When you choose "as soon as possible", a priority fee is added to the price. The fee is shown in the price before you confirm the order.
  • Supplies are not included in the price unless agreed otherwise.

Mukana Arjessa is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to the prices. You see the estimated total price of the order before you confirm it.

5. Payment

Payment is made by card. Payments are processed by the payment provider Stripe, and we never see your card number. When you order, a hold is placed on your card for the estimated working time. The final charge is based on the actual working time, and the unused part of the hold is released. If the job needs more time than estimated, extra time is done and charged only if you approve it.

6. Cancelling an order

You can cancel your order free of charge in your account until the helper has set off to you. The hold on your card is then released in full.

If the helper arrives but the job cannot be done for a reason on your side or at the site, we charge the 1-hour minimum and the 5.90 € travel fee. If the job is not done for a reason on our side, you pay nothing, and we offer you a new time.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the right under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act to withdraw from a service contract made online within 14 days of the contract being made. When you order work to be done within this period, you also request that the work starts before the withdrawal period ends. If you withdraw after the work has started, you pay for the work done. The right of withdrawal ends when the work has been fully completed.

You can withdraw in your account or by emailing us at asiakaspalvelu@mukanaarjessa.fi. For example, this is enough: "I withdraw from order [order number], ordered on [date]. Name and address." We refund any payments to the same card within 14 days at the latest.

8. Your responsibilities

  • You give correct information about the job and the site in your order.
  • You make sure the helper can get to the site at the agreed time.
  • You tell us in advance about anything that affects the work or safety.
  • For assembly jobs, the furniture parts and instructions are on site.

9. Defects and complaints

If you think there is a defect in the work, tell us within a reasonable time after you noticed it at asiakaspalvelu@mukanaarjessa.fi. We will primarily fix the defect. If that is not possible, we will agree on a price reduction. We are liable for damage caused during the work in accordance with the law. Please tell us about any damage as soon as possible.

10. Household tax deduction

Furniture assembly, cleaning, yard work and organising in your home may qualify for the Finnish household tax deduction (kotitalousvähennys). Mukana Arjessa is entered in the Finnish prepayment register. When the job is done, you get a receipt by email and on the order page. The receipt itemises the labour share. The deduction is granted by the Finnish Tax Administration.

11. Disputes

We aim to resolve disagreements first by negotiating with you. As a consumer, you can ask for free help from the Finnish consumer advisory service and take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). You can also bring an action in the district court of your home municipality.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Your order is governed by the terms that were valid when you confirmed it.
